A liberal group will go on the attack Monday against Republican presidential candidates in New Hampshire ahead of a major initial debate this evening.

Protect Your Care, a liberal group dedicated to defending President Obama's healthcare law, is running a TV ad on Sunday through Tuesday in New Hampshire, where GOP candidates for the White House will gather in Manchester for a debate.

The ad, which will run at times during the debate itself, features a senior citizen expressing worry about what House Republicans' 2012 budget would do to Medicare. That budget, which would reform Medicare for Americans under the age of 55, has become a cause célèbre in the Republican field, and a focal point of criticism by Democrats.

Protect Your Care will also take out a variety of ads on New Hampshire websites seizing on the GOP Medicare plan.

In addition, the group will be holding events throughout New Hampshire on Monday, including some activities tomorrow evening on the campus of St. Anselm College, the host of the Republican debate.
