The Thursday meeting comes as Vice President Biden's bipartisan committee, charged with compromising on a deficit-reduction plan, continues to meet this week. The Biden group hopes to reach a deal before July 1, one month before Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner projects the country will reach its borrowing limit. The group hopes to reach a compromise before July so it can move the package through Congress ahead of the debt-limit deadline. 

The meeting's announcement came on the same day that Senate Democrats called for including stimulus measures like a payroll tax deduction in any agreement the Biden commission reaches.
