Obama campaign office in California vandalized

Vandals attacked President Obama’s West Los Angeles campaign office Thursday night, throwing an object through a window and possibly firing BB gun pellets, according to reports.

ABC Los Angeles reported visible damage and a window and door on the building boarded up by Friday morning.

LAPD spokeswoman Sara Faden told the Los Angeles Times that a caller “reported hearing glass breaking and noticed that windows were broken” Thursday at 7:25 p.m.

No one was in the office at the time. Surveillance cameras failed to capture the event, and police have no one in custody, according to the local ABC affiliate.

Obama’s reelection campaign is getting into full swing this week, with campaign offices opening and recruiting getting under way. Obama is scheduled to hold a campaign fundraising event in Los Angeles on Monday.
