Rockefeller: 'Go beyond talking' on Thanksgiving

Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D-W.Va.) is urging citizens to use Thanksgiving as an opportunity to give back to their communities.

“This year ... I encourage you to go beyond talking about things you are thankful for and join in a service activity to give back,” Rockefeller said. “Cook a meal at a local shelter.

"Donate an extra coat to keep someone warm, or get together with your friends and family to help somebody in need,” he added. “Lending a hand to somebody in need is part of the fabric of West Virginia; it's one of the reasons I'm proud to call West Virginia my home,” the West Virginia Democrat said.
