The president called 10 service members: “two from the Army, two from the Marine Corps, two from the Navy, two from the Air Force and two from the Coast Guard,” according to a White House pool report.

“He thanked all of them for their service, and he wished them and their families a Happy Thanksgiving,” the White House added.

Earlier Thursday, the White House press office released the Thanksgiving menu for the first family, which includes staples such as turkey and stuffing, as well as sweet potatoes and honey-baked ham.

The president, a pie lover, will have his choice between nine types of pie this year, up from six pie selections in 2012.
