Romney visits George H.W. Bush
Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney visited former President George H.W. Bush on Thursday.
Romney, campaigning in Texas, stopped by the elder Bush's Houston home, according to multiple reports.
He stayed about 30 minutes and spoke with Bush and former first lady Barbara Bush. It was their second meeting this year. Romney and Bush are friends, according to Romney's campaign.
"They're the most entertaining and delightful people I know," Romney said of Bush and wife Friday on Fox News, describing the visit as "fun."
"You look for endorsements everywhere. I don't think there are a lot of former presidents who get involved in the political process," Romney said on Fox News.
Romney described the former first couple as "100 percent with it" and "young in heart and mind."
Appleby added to CBS that Bush does enjoy venturing out for Texas A&M University and Houston Texans football games.
Romney, in Dallas on Friday, told Fox News he has no plans to visit former President George W. Bush there, although he talks to him from time to time. "I get advice and counsel everywhere I can find it," he said.
