Pelosi ‘wasn’t particularly interested’ in sharing a sofa with Gingrich
Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is not Newt Gingrich’s biggest fan and wasn’t “particularly interested” in sharing a couch with him in 2008, she said in an interview airing Thursday night.
“I wasn't particularly interested in sitting on the sofa with him,” Pelosi told MSNBC for a segment airing Thursday on “The Ed Show.”
Gingrich and Pelosi shared a couch in 2008 for an ad advocating action on climate change legislation.
“The point is we came together to talk about the climate crisis, which I thought he had an interest in,” Pelosi continued.
"I think he's done plenty of dumb things, and there's stiff competition for what is the dumbest thing he's done,” she told CNN. “It’s typical, vintage Gingrich to say 'it’s about her, it’s not about me.' "
Pelosi again denied that she has secret information on Gingrich from her time spent serving with him in Congress. Pelosi has made several cryptic remarks indicating that Gingrich’s past will prevent him from becoming president, leading to persistent rumors that she has dirt on him gathered during the course of an ethics investigation in the late '90s.
But she told MSNBC, “Everything [I have] said about Newt Gingrich's ethics is in the public record.”
