Palin impersonator fools them at CPAC
A dead ringer for former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) briefly fooled reporters on Saturday, giving no indication that she wasn't the politician she purported to be.
A group of reporters covering the Conservative Political Action Conference, where Palin is speaking, spotted her eating with what appeared to be a bodyguard in the back of a Washington restaurant, and approached her for an interview.
The fake Palin was glad to oblige, discussing with impressively convincing authority her views on Mitt Romney, the GOP presidential race and whether she would endorse Newt Gingrich.
The Hill noticed that fake Palin's voice seemed a bit more guttural than usual, despite having the perfect inflection and Alaska accent that Palin is known for, and asked if she was feeling under the weather.
"I have a little cold. It's cold in D.C. We're not used to that in Alaska," she said with a characteristic Palin wink.
The impersonator ended the interview by handing reporters her business card: Patti Lyons — The World's Premier Sarah Palin Impressionist.
