Duggar family campaigning in Alabama for Santorum

In early January, the Duggar family endorsed Santorum. Since then, the family has campaigned in states Santorum has hoped to compete strongly in — they campaigned for him in Iowa and, in February, the family stumped in Michigan ahead of that state's primary.

The Tuesday primaries in Alabama and Mississippi are contests Santorum wants to do especially well in, as they are two states Newt Gingrich's campaign has indicated are must-wins.

Santorum's campaign has recently said that he would strongly benefit from Gingrich dropping out and throwing his support behind the ex-senator. Santorum himself has not publicly called on Gingrich to drop out, but his campaign has said that the former House Speaker's support would be welcome.

A pro-Santorum super-PAC, however, has directly called for Gingrich to drop out and back Santorum. Gingrich has responded that he has no plans to drop out, even if he does not win both Alabama and Mississippi.
