Mississippi lawmaker endorses Santorum

Rick Santorum received the endorsement of Mississippi Rep. Alan Nunnelee (R) on Tuesday.

"Rick Santorum understands that freedom means economic prosperity, strong families and communities that provide opportunities for all," Nunnelee said in a statement released by Santorum's campaign. "His personal commitment and record of achievement show that not only does he live these values, but works to make them a reality for all Americans. I think Rick Santorum will make a great President and I look forward to voting for him on Tuesday," he added.

The endorsement is the fourth one for the former Pennsylvania senator from a sitting legislator on Capitol Hill. Mississippi holds its presidential primary Tuesday.

Santorum has also received the endorsements of Pennsylvania Reps. Lou Barletta (R), Tom Marino (R), and Glenn Thompson (R).
