

Nancy Reagan suffers broken ribs in fall
Former first lady Nancy Reagan was unable to attend a speech by House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) Tuesday night because she was still recovering from broken ribs suffered in a fall.
Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Library executive director John Heubusch said the accident at her Los Angeles home happened about six weeks ago, and that the former first lady is recovering slowly, according toThe Associated Press. Reagan is 90 years old.
The AP quoted Reagan's spokeswoman as saying her doctor advised her not to attend large events.
In 2008, Reagan suffered a fractured pelvis that led to her hospitalization.
