Obama: White House beer recipe 'out soon'

President Obama on Wednesday indicated the recipe for beer brewed at the White House will be released "soon."

Asked about the recipe during an "Ask Me Anything" chat on reddit, Obama replied: "It will be out soon! I can tell from first hand experience, it is tasty."

Obama did not specify which recipe might be released. White House brews include a Honey Ale, Honey Porter and Honey Blonde Ale.

Interest in the recipe spiked on the social news site last week when a user submitted a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for any one of the White House brew recipes.

White House spokesman Jay Carney, asked last week whether the recipe would be released, said the administration would release the recipe to its "White House Honey Ale" if enough beer-drinkers sign a petition.
