President Obama got a lift Sunday and this wasn't about polling.
He was lifted in spectacular fashion by a pizza shop owner in Fort Pierce, Fla.
The incident occurred after Obama arrived at the Big Apple Pizza & Pasta Restaurant, according to a White House pool report.
Scott Van Duzer, 46, gave Obama the clean lift after Obama complimented him on his muscles.
"Scott, let me tell you, you are like the biggest pizza shop owner I've ever seen,” Obama said. "Everybody look at these guns," the president said, pointing to Van Duzer's pectoral muscles.
Van Duzer lifted Obama a good foot off the ground.
"Look at that!" Obama said afterward. "Man are you a powerlifter or what?"
The pizza shop owner, a registered Republican who plans to vote for Obama, told the pool reporter he can bench 350 pounds.
Reporter Doug Mills of the New York Times tweeted a photo of the president being lifted by Van Duzer.
