Obama to make second 'Daily Show' appearance since taking office
President Obama will appear as a guest on the "Daily Show" on Oct. 18.
The appearance, which Comedy Central announced Friday, will be Obama's second since he took office. His first appearance was on Oct. 27, 2010.
Some viewers were surprised with the host Jon Stewart's tough questioning of Obama during his first appearance on the show as a sitting president. Stewart pressed Obama on a number of topics Democrats had recently been criticizing the president on, like healthcare and repealing the military's 'don't ask, don't tell' policy. But the White House deemed the appearance a "success."
"So I would think of it as a success."
Obama has appeared on the show four other times, twice in 2008, once in 2007, and once in 2005.
