Obama daughters' school evacuated
Sidwell Friends, the school President Obama's daughters attend, was evacuated Thursday after a suspicious phone call.
The school received a "phoned in threat," according to Washingtonian magazine.
"This is an emergency message from Sidwell Friends School," a message sent out over the school's emergency notification system said, according to the magazine. "Due to a suspicious phone call, the buildings on the Wisconsin Avenue campus have been evacuated. We will notify you when further information is available."
Later in the morning, police gave the all-clear signal and students returned to the school's campus.
Ed Donovan, a spokesman for United States Secret Service, confirmed that the threat was not directed at the Obama daughters.
