“[George Stephanopoulos] stupidly believes that Hillary wants to run against me because she said so,” Trump tweeted just before the two-hour debate wrapped up. "She says that so people believe it - opposite!"

Stephanopoulos, a former White House communications director under President Bill Clinton, quickly responded to the jab.

".@realDonaldTrump See you tomorrow on @ThisWeekABC!” he tweeted, referring to ABC’s Sunday talk show, which Stephanopoulos hosts.

As to what he thought of the debate itself, Trump's only remark was to retweet a supporter who replied “LMAO” to the question “who won the #DemDebate."
