Biden visits Capitol Hill

Vice President Biden went to Capitol Hill on Wednesday.

Biden went to the Capitol to use the Senate gym and visit friends, according to a White House spokesman.

The vice president had lunch with Sens. John Tester (D-Mont.) Mark Pryor (D-Ark.).

"The vice president walked in and Senators Tester and Pryor invited him to join them for lunch. They talked about the vice president’s days in the Senate," according to Tester's office. "Senator Tester’s Sportsmen’s Bill also came up."

The Biden visit comes as "fiscal cliff" talks are stalemated. Biden and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell broke a debt-ceiling deadlock in August 2011.
