On Monday a spokesman for the secretary of State said she had been hospitalized after doctors found a blood clot resulting from a concussion Clinton suffered earlier in December. The clot was found during a follow-up exam for the concussion on Sunday.

"She is being treated with anti-coagulants and is at New York Presbyterian Hospital so that they can monitor the medication over the next 48 hours," Clinton spokesman Phillipe Reines said in a statement on Sunday. "Her doctors will continue to assess her condition, including other issues associated with her concussion. They will determine if any further action is required."
