Report: Obama to visit Minneapolis on Monday
President Obama will head to Minneapolis on Monday, but the purpose of his visit remains unclear, according to a report from Minnesota Public Radio.
Sen. Al Franken's (D-Minn.) office later confirmed the visit to a local CBS station.
Obama made his first trip since his second inauguration on Tuesday, when he traveled to Las Vegas to champion a comprehensive immigration reform plan progressing in the Senate.
"The president will travel. You can expect that," Carney said. "He will, as he does, make the case to the American people for the vision he laid out in his inaugural address, and the specifics that he will lay out at his State of the Union address on February 12."
