Trump will visit the U.K. on June 24 for the reopening of his Trump Turnberry golf course in Scotland, course public relations spokeswoman Lisa McGhee told AFP on Wednesday, the day the course reopened.

"There will be an official ribbon-cutting ceremony with invited guests, and Mr. Trump himself," she said.

The trip will come a day after the U.K.'s "Brexit" vote on whether to leave the EU. Trump has said he'd support such a decision but doesn't want to insert himself in the British debate.

“Oh yeah, I think they should leave,” he said Wednesday in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

The trip also follows sharp criticism from Great Britain — including from Prime Minister David Cameron — of Trump's proposal to ban Muslims from entering the U.S.

A petition to ban Trump from the nation received more than 575,000 signatures and was debated by Parliament earlier this year.

Trump spoke to reporters about world leaders during a visit to the Scottish golf course last summer after he announced his White House bid.
