Report: Obama headed to North Carolina after State of the Union
President Obama will head to Asheville, North Carolina next Wednesday, a day after his State of the Union address, a local ABC affiliate reported.
The television network said the president will likely only visit the liberal North Carolina town for part of the day, although did not have further details of his travel.
The president last visited Asheville in October, kicking off a three-day jobs tour with an event at the town's regional airport. In 2010, the president and first lady Michelle Obama took a three-day vacation in the town, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
The White House has not yet released details regarding the president's travel schedule for the coming week.
