

Condoleezza Rice strikes spectator during golf tournament
Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice struck a spectator Thursday in the opening round of the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-AM,according to a report by The New York Times.
Rice reportedly shanked an approach shot on the sixth hole into the gallery, hitting a spectator in the head and drawing blood.
“Did I hit you?” Rice said. "It was a bad shot. I’m really sorry.”
According to the Times, Rice asked the woman's daughter to contact her with an update on her condition.
In August, Rice made headlines as she became the first of two women to be admitted to Augusta National Golf Club, the home of the annual Masters tournament.
