Rubio not among those awaiting new Justin Timberlake album
Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) is a big fan of Jay-Z, but the Florida lawmaker said Tuesday he doesn't much care for the rappers "Legends of Summer" tour mate Justin Timberlake.
“Listen, he’s a talented performer, but he’s not a-, he’s not on my iPod list,” Rubio told CNN on Tuesday.
Rubio said even Jay-Z's appearance on "Suit and Tie" — the lead single from Timberlake's new album “The 20/20 Experience" — was not enough to win him over.
When CNN host Jake Tapper quipped that the former 'N Sync member wasn't "hardcore" enough, Rubio laughed.
"Justin Timberlake?" Rubio said. "No."
Rubio has frequently referenced his love of hip-hop in interviews and from the Senate floor. During Sen. Rand Paul's (R-Ky.) filibuster earlier this month, Rubio quoted lyrics from Jay-Z and Wiz Khalifa.
