She will speak at Bowie State University in Bowie, Md., on May 17. It is the oldest historically black university in the state.

And she'll be at the Martin Luther King Jr. Academic Magnet High School for Health Sciences and Engineering in Nashville on May 18. It is ranked as one of the best public schools in the nation and its curriculum emphasizes math and science.

In 2012, the first lady spoke at the graduation of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), Agricultural and Technical State University in North Carolina and Oregon State University.
