Trump met on Sunday afternoon with Gray, the head of global real estate at Blackstone Group.
The two reportedly talked about the Treasury secretary position during the meeting, according to Politico.
He donated to Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton

Clinton's finance director, Dennis Cheng, said in an email to Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta during the primary that Gray "really admires" Clinton and "wants to be helpful, but doesn't know our world that [well]."
"Would be good for him to get to know you," Cheng wrote in the email, which was released as part of a WikiLeaks dump.
During the presidential campaign, Gray apparently expressed concerns with Trump's immigration positions and said immigration reform "could bring in more highly educated people and resolve the issue with a lot of undocumented folks who I think could pay taxes and be more productive in the society."
He reportedly said during a real estate conference after Trump's victory that the president-elect could help the economy.
“It does appear like we’re going to have lower taxes, less regulation and probably more fiscal spending, particularly around infrastructure. All of that should be good for growth,” Gray said.
