“Secretary Clinton and the president have developed not just a strong working relationship, but also a genuine friendship,” White House spokesman Josh Earnest said.  “It’s largely friendship that’s on the agenda for the lunch today.”

Clinton has yet to say whether she will run for president on the Democratic ticket, but she is the clear front-runner in most recent polls.

Biden has also declined to rule out a possible 2016 bid for the White House.
