Morgan apologized Tuesday night for a profane attack on former campaign intern Olivia Nuzzi in which she said Nuzzi was hungry for fame and “sucked” at her job.

“In a moment of frustration, I used inappropriate language in what I thought was an off-the-record conversation. It was wrong and I am very sorry,” said Morgan. Nuzzi said via Twitter that she had accepted Morgan’s apology.

Weiner has plummeted in the polls following his admission last week that he continued to send lewd messages to women online well after similar behavior forced him to resign from Congress.
