First daughter Ivanka Trump will participate in a roundtable discussion in Saudi Arabia during President Trump’s upcoming overseas trip, according to a senior White House adviser.

The event will focus on economic issues facing women. The unnamed adviser said Ivanka Trump wants to hear more about the issues women in Saudi Arabia face.

This is not the first time Trump will address gender issues on an overseas visit.

Trump traveled to Germany in April, where she took part in a panel with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Trump will join her father on his first overseas trip as president, which includes stops in Saudi Arabia, Israel and Italy.

The trip comes as the Trump administration deals with the swirling controversies over the president's firing of former FBI Director James Comey and the investigation of Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election.
