"It's high time the media and everyone leave Barron Trump alone and let him have the private childhood he deserves," Clinton wrote.

In a separate tweet hours later, Clinton posted another tweet shaming those who criticized Barron.

"Barron is A KID. No child should be talked about in the below manner-in real life or online. And for an adult to do so? For shame," she tweeted.

It wasn't the first time the former first daughter defended the president's youngest son. She also did so in January after social media users began criticizing Barron's appearance at his father's inauguration ceremony.

"Barron Trump deserves the chance every child does-to be a kid," she tweeted at the time. "Standing up for every kid also means opposing POTUS policies that hurt kids."
