Bachmann: Dems attack me because I might be President
Democrats are attacking Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) because they're afraid she might be president someday, the Minnesota Republican claimed yesterday.
"[W]ith women politicians, they want to make sure no women, no woman becomes president before a Democrat woman," Bachmann told radio host Mike Gallagher yesterday. "And so they're doing everything they can to, I think, sabotage women like Sarah Palin, perhaps women like myself, or similarly situated women, to make sure that we don't have a prominent national voice."
Bachmann's taken heat in recent weeks for urging healthcare reform opponents to "slit [their] wrists" and become "blood brothers" to beat back Democratic legislation.
A few months back, Bachmann commented that she would only run for President if God told her to, drawing barbs from her liberal critics.
