Poll: 52% disapprove of Obama on healthcare
A slim majority of Americans now disapprove of President Obama's work on healthcare reform, a new poll finds.
52% of respondents in an Associated Press poll gave Obama a thumb's down on healthcare. That's up from 43% in July.
When it comes to the legislation being considered in Congress, 49% are opposed and 34% are in favor.
The one number working in the White House's favor? Only about 20% think no reform is necessary. The White House is hoping Obama's speech tonight can portraty Democratic reform as the only feasible alternative to the status quo.
