Rep. Wilson's site crashes

Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) has become such an overnight sensation that his official House website crashed this morning due to high traffic.

Wilson has already apologized for yelling "You lie!" at President Obama last night, but that hasn't tampered down the internet firestorm over his comments.

Visitors to Wilson's site this morning are greeted with this message: "Due to exceptionally high traffic, this site is temporarily unavailable."

And Wilson's internet growth spurt is not limited to his website. As Jordan notes, Wilson's twitter following has nearly tripled since his ourbust.

Perhaps more ominously for Wilson, liberal activists are already mobilizing against his re-election. Rob Miller, Wilson's 2008 challenger who plans to run again in 2010, has already raised over $100,000 since comments last night, fueled largely by a Daily Kos campaign.
