Obama could appear on three Sunday shows next weekend
President Barack Obama might become the first president to appear on three talk shows in one Sunday -- that is, if scheduling permits it.
The New York Times reported Monday that the White House is currently negotiating with ABC, NBC and CBS to land Obama consecutive spots on "This Week," "Meet the Press" and "Face the Nation," respectively. It is not clear whether the administration has also approached CNN or Fox News.
Obama's attempt at a Sunday show blitz is part of the White House's rejuvenated effort to play offense in the healthcare debate. Already, the president has addressed Congress on national television, rallied thousands of supporters in Minnesota and presented his case for reform on "60 Minutes."
