McCain anxious about campaign dirt in Palin book
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's (R) inevitable stories about disagreements within last fall's presidential campaign worry Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) the most, the senator said Thursday.
The former Republican presidential nominee said he is looking forward to his running mate's book overall, except for potential revelations of infighting with the campaign that was long rumored, and in fact alluded to in the title of Palin's new memoir, "Going Rogue."
"The part I'm looking forward to most is the part where it energized our campaign, and her selection put us ahead in the polls," McCain told NBC's David Gregory at the "First Draft of History" conference being hosted by The Atlantic magazine in Washington this morning.
"The part I'm looking to least is on some of the disagreements that took place within the campaign," McCain added.
He praised his former running mate as qualified to be president one day, adding: "Yes, I think Sarah Palin will play a significant role in the Republican Party in the future."
