DCCC ad hits Scozzafava on taxes; Working Families backs Owens

Dede Scozzafava continues to be the issue in the New York special election.

A new DCCC ad labels the Republican Assemblywoman a tax-raiser and hits her for voting for tax breaks that her business benefitted from.

Scozzafava is the only candidate in the race who actually has a voting record, which makes her the only candidate vulnerable to attacks like this.

In other news on the race, the Working Families Party has just endorsed Democrat Bill Owens, after previously supporting Scozzafava in her assembly races. Scozzafava, who has secured the Independence Party line, said through her campaign that she had not sought the party's support for this campaign -- probably because it is too closely associated with ACORN, and she didn't need another reason for conservatives to look elsewhere.
