Family Research Council PAC picks Hoffman over Scozzafava

The Family Research Council's (FRC) political action committee has just become the latest conservative group to back Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman over the GOP nominee in the upcoming New York special election.

The PAC joins the American Conservative Union, the Susan B. Anthony List, the state Right to Life PAC and former GOP presidential candidate Fred Thompson in choosing Hoffman over centrist GOP Assemblywoman Dede Scozzafava.

"Doug Hoffman will be a true friend of the family," FRC Action PAC Chairman Tony Perkins said. "We need conservative representatives who will fight to defend the family against the radical anti-family leadership in the House of Representatives and the corruption that affects so many Members. I am convinced Doug will be able to do just that."

Scozzafava on Friday got the backing of Rep. Jeb. Hensarling (R-Texas), the former chairman of the Republican Study Commitee (RSC) and a top conservative in the House.

People on the Right carp about Obama having a Messiah complex… who about this guy? He gets to decide who is "family values" and who isn't. He gets to decide what makes a family and what doesn't.
