Emanuel: More Afghanistan strategy talks
White House military and defense advisers will meet again with the president this and next week to discuss a possible troop increase to Afghanistan, Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel said Sunday.
Emanuel's suggestion the president has not yet made a decision -- while not totally unexpected -- is likely to frustrate Republicans, who have recently accused the president of dragging his feet on an announcement.
"We'd love the luxury of the debate to be reduced to one question," he told CNN's John King. "This is a much more complicated decision."
"The review is going to continue to go on... the question is not how many troops do you send, but do you have a credible Afghan partner for this process... that can provide the services the Afghan people need," he added.
