Vote for Conservative in N.Y. is a vote for Dems, says Rep. King

Rep. Pete King (R-N.Y.) endorsed GOP special-election candidate Dede Scozzafava on Monday, saying a vote for her Conservative Party opponent is tantamount to a vote for the Democrats in the close 23rd Congressional District race in New York.

King, who is one of just two Republicans in the New York delegation, is the latest to step forward and back the centrist Scozzafava, who faces losing support to Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman. Last week, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) backed Scozzafava as well.

In a statement, King made the case that voting for Hoffman will only help Democrat Bill Owens win.

"Dede is the only Republican candidate in this race, and the only candidate with a proven record that Republicans can trust in Washington," King said. "A vote for either of her opponents is a vote for Nancy Pelosi and her far-left, radical agenda."

No thanks RINO GOP, not falling for this argument anymore. It's time to do the RIGHT thing from now on (conservatives and constitutionali sts only), not the expedient one.In the first place, Hoffman might win, in which case as a country we'll start heading back in the right direction, to take our country back, immediately.In the second place, if DSczzfva wins, the obvious damage we now see daily caused by the RINO Dem coalition, will happen even faster. Scozzafava = another RINO like Snowe, Specter and Charlie Crist. Better to go down fighting with and for rock-solid conservatives than to go swirling down Obama's redistributioni st sewer with that bunch. Actually, Hoffman can win - and Dede now has the momentum to come in third in this 'safe' Repubican seat. Hoffman will beat Dede but lose to Owens. Nice work GOP. You apparently have no learning curve -witness the replay of NY 20… and we all know how that turned out! Those Republican leaders who advocate certain principles that they claim that no candidate can breach are essentially advocating for a permanent minority party.
