Palin to talk to Oprah

By Eric Zimmermann - 10/20/09 01:52 PM ET

Sarah Palin will sit down with Oprah next month, the Sun-Sentinel reports.

The former Alaska Governor will appear on Oprah's show on November 16. Palin's memoir, "Going Rogue," will be released the next day, and no one moves Amazon sales faster than Oprah.

This will be Palin's first interview with the talk show queen.

There was a minor dust-up during the campaign over whether Oprah had snubbed Palin by refusing to interview her. Oprah said she didn't want ot use her show as a political platform, and said she'd be happy to have Palin on after the election was over.

Aww, gee whiz. — Oprah is so done. — She needs Palin to reverse her downward spiral. — I don't think anyone will ever forget her "He's The One!" repeated over and over for Obama. — We waited breathlessly for celestial angels to appear. — Didn't happen. — NO KIDDING? — Now, another one of her hinky New Age friends is in the spotlight for the inexplicable deaths of 3 people and the illness of another 19 in Sedona. — How many little South African girls were raped in Oprah's school? — Oprah's Way Out There. — Maybe this is inevitable for people who allow fame to rule them. — I expect Palin will be gracious. — I expect huge numbers will watch - but, they won't return. — Oprah's done.BY cme on 10/20/2009 at 15:46
Oh, Palin, you dissapoint me!BY Loops on 10/20/2009 at 17:52
Oprah's excuse that she did not want to use her show as a political platform is weak at best, considering she was a very outspoken supporter of Obama. As to Oprah moving books, Palin is already BY Gene on 10/20/2009 at 17:55
What's this about a book? Sarah Palin read a book?!BY Eric on 10/20/2009 at 18:00
CME .. Oprah doesn't need sarah palin for anything.. Oprah worth you idiot at least 9 Billion dollars plus… I will agree she is out there with this new age junk , however she is worth 9 billion dollars .. How much u worth.. 9 bucks.. LOL..BY ron on 10/20/2009 at 18:14
Palin's a joke!BY PML on 10/20/2009 at 18:19
Oprah's a JokeThey have been begging Palin to come on the show. I mean serious BEGGING! I am sure oprah is paying a pretty penny to convince Palin to come on the show. Sarah is selling books even before they've been printed, so it is not like Palin needs the publicity. The difficult burden will fall on Oprah's shoulders on how to approach this interview. Skew it the wrong way and the O loses large amounts of audience. I find it amusing that Oprah will be kissing Palin's a$$ for fear of losing her small grip on the few conservatives who still watch her. I dont watch that oprah hack anymore, and I have no need to see oprah prostrate herself to palin. Oprah has eternally lost any kind of respect I ever had for her until she rebukes obama, I will never watch her again. Even then, I will have to seriously think about it.I would MUCH rather watch Beck over her any day.BY politicaljules on 10/20/2009 at 23:37
Oprah is so much smarter than Palin it will be obvious within 2 minutes…The GOP are in a very sad state if they pin there hopes on Palin…another sure loser…Looked how she helped destroy McCains run…You people need to wake up stop your hating and start living…BY Rapman on 10/21/2009 at 07:07
Ax and Obama would love nothing more than to see Palin move to the top in GOP primary polls. They think she is the most divisive candidate for R's - and they are right. Oprah is one of the D's myriad media instruments that have done a great job of giving Palin legitimacy by keeping her in the news since her resignation as Gov. Dems will happily take all the Palin attention they can get! They see a path to reelection if she is the R candidate.BY GOPperson on 10/21/2009 at 07:47
Note to Sarah: Don't do it!! You don't need to lower yourself nor do you need to push your book, its already sold out first copy. As for the dummycrats still rah rahing for Obama, you are sad, ignorant people who need to start reading more than the Huffington or your local news rag.BY Sgt Tom on 10/21/2009 at 09:05
