Palin 'Troopergate' aide to write book
Frank Bailey, who was an aide to ex-Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) and a controversial figure in the "Troopergate" incident, is writing a book of his own.
The 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee's forthcoming book, "Going Rogue," is due to hit bookshelves in mid-November.
A publicist who says she's working with Bailey on the book informed the The News Tribune (Wash.) of the project.
Last year Palin was accused of firing state Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan due to his refusal to fire state trooper Mike Wooten, with whom Palin had a personal dispute. The state government issued conflicting reports as to whether or not her act constituted an abuse of power.
Bailey made a phone call to the Public Safety Department, which was recorded, asking why Monegan had not fired Wooten. Palin denied having requested members of her staff to make such calls.
The paper did not say when the book would be released.
