

TARP watchdog slams execs
The top bailout watchdog slammed executives at bailed-out firms today, saying the Obama administration was right to cut their salaries and bonuses.
Elizabeth Warrren, chairwoman of the TARP Congressional Oversight Panel, said it was about time that the government cracked down on executives that took taxpayer funds.
"Good first step, but I just can't believe we're in this place," Warren told MSNBC's Morning Joe:
She continued:
Let's remember who these executives are. These are the people who made tehemslves richer than Croesus, brought us to this economic collapse, came to the American taxpayers for a bailouit and as soon as they can pump up profits in one quarter they want to slather themselves with more perks and bonuses and salaries.

They think they can party on like it's 2007. So I'm just amazed that we're at this moment. Because I'm amazed they thought they could get away with this.
