Reid to send bill to CBO today

Majority Leader Harry Reid will finalize a Senate healthcare bill and send it to the CBO for scoring this afternoon, multiple outlets are reporting.

The bill will reportedly include a public option that allows states to opt-out. There are not 60 firm votes for this as of yet, but Democratic leaders are optimistic they can wrangle them up in time for a cloture motion.

Reid, who had the responsibility of merging the legislation from the Finance Committee and the HELP Committee, will hold a press conference this afternoon at 3:15pm, in which he may announce what's in the final bill.
