Nelson: Today's elections have no nat'l impact

By J. Taylor Rushing - 11/03/09 02:07 PM ET

Add centrist Senate Democrat Ben Nelson of Oklahoma to the list of Democrats who dismiss any national impact of Tuesday's gubernatorial elections in New Jersey and Virginia, and the House race in New York.

Asked if there are any implications for President Barack Obama or the Democratic Party, Nelson said no.

"These are local races," he said. "I know some people see this as a referendum. I don't see it that way at all. You can take a look at the national polls, and that shows you the referendum on Obama or his policies or what-have-you. But these elections won't have anything to say about that."

Yeah, right Nelson. You just keep telling yourself that, Who asked you what you thought anyway? You wouldn't have commented if you thought that it had no relevance.BY USA on 11/03/2009 at 14:39

acorn, aclu and seiu, not to mention the obama team have already told poll workers and judges not to worry if signatures dont match, over 180,000 mail in ballots already. christie will win, the mailin votes will be counted and corzine wil be the winner. its already a fix. watch the vans with loads of people going from poll to poll voting over and over, its happening already. obmama is running scared and will do what ever he has to to win. this election is pointless, the fix is in for corzine to win eventhough most dems are not even coming out to vote.BY cargo65 on 11/03/2009 at 15:55
Big Dittos USA! Ben Nelson is from Nebraska (unfortunately, my state) He continues to make a fool of himself. These elections definitely ARE a referendum on Obama and all his liberal schemes. The people of America do not want any of this! Most people that voted for Obama did not vote for what we are getting and now these people who have woken up, are going to let their voices be heard at the ballot box. I pray that conservatives win in these elections and send a powerful message to Washington DC!BY Mrs. A on 11/03/2009 at 16:03
