No one ever dances with Harry Reid
Harry Reid is once again comparing the GOP to the girl who wouldn't dance with him in high school.
Here are Reid's comments from last week, accusing Republicans of being unwilling to work on healthcare reform:
"You can't dance if your partner is unwilling to get off the chair," Reid told reporters. "It's like when I was in high school, I wanted to dance but she wouldn't get up. OK?"
Today, Reid applied the same metaphor to the the climate change bill working it's way through the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, where Republicans are boycotting the markup hearings.
Reid said Chairwoman Barbara Boxer has done everything possible to get the GOP on board:
"So I don't know what more the woman could do. As I gave the illustration last week here, you know, you have -- you badly want to dance with that person, and you go over and, 'Would you dance with me?' And the person doesn't get up, you can't dance.
If only Tom DeLay were still in Congress...
