Palin says Newsweek cover is 'sexist'

altA Newsweek cover showing Sarah Palin in running shorts is "sexist," the former Alaska Governor said.

In a message on her Facebook page last night, Palin lamented that the magazine used a picture of her from a Runner's World photo shoot.

"The out-of-context Newsweek approach is sexist and oh-so-expected by now," Palin said.

She added: "If anyone can learn anything from it: it shows why you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, gender, or color of skin. The media will do anything to draw attention--even if out of context."

The accompanying article, by Evan Thomas, criticizes Palin's influence in the GOP.

If anyone needs to wonder why this magazine is thinner than a dime these days…From the cover anyone would know:a.) The article preaches to the choir that already dislikes her. b.) the people that do like her, won't read it. Why bother. c.) the independants are sick of this childishness, may read two paragraphs in the check out line but won't buy it.d.) leaving college boys. who didn't buy it either, but somehow got a copy. Sarah Palin is a major thorn in the liberals' side. Even when they use something like this picture as a way to "get" her, they fail. The photo shows that she is very fit and can stand toe-to-toe with any of them and it drives them absolutely crazy!Sarah is the kind of woman that they fear most; she doesn't buy into the liberalism that a successful woman is supposed to. It is such a shame that Newsweek has to stoop this low to try and discredit someone who is a threat to their low down business. They are the ones who have no credibility. They along with so much of the other media must perceive her as a tremendous threat or else they would not be spending so much hot air and print space trying to discredit her.
