Biden spent day in Senate to discuss healthcare
Vice President Joe Biden spent five hours in the Senate on Wednesday before leaving shortly after 3 p.m.
Biden started his appointments with a 10 a.m. meeting with Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) about healthcare reform. Reid is struggling to hold Democrats together for the first procedural votes, which could come at the end of the week.
Biden also strolled through the Senate floor but avoided making any public statements.
The vice president served in the Senate from 1973 to this past January.
