Crist lead down to 10 in latest Kos poll
Daily Kos's Markos tweets that a new Research 2000 poll for the liberal website shows Gov. Charlie Crist (R) under 50 percent in his primary with former state House Speaker Marco Rubio.
He says the new numbers will show Crist leading 47-37, which is his smallest lead to date and shows a race that continues to close.
The full details of the poll are not yet available.
UPDATE: The poll has Crist's favorability among Republicans at 67 percent positive and 26 percent negative. Rubio's is 35 percent positive and 15 percent negative. So, even accounting for Crist's higher name ID, his favorables are a higher percentage of his unfavorables than Rubio.
Also interesting -- Meek leads Rubio 38-30 in a head-to-head matchup, despite Rubio's hard name ID being 11 points higher. Are Crist's supporters already bristling at the idea of supporting Rubio in the general election?
Crist leads Meek 50-33 in the general election. If he became an independent (a la Lieberman), he would led Meek 32-31, with Rubio at 27. If he were to become a Democrat, he would lead Rubio in the general election 45-34.
