Coakley narrowly outraises Capuano
Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley (D) outraised Rep. Michael Capuano (D-Mass.) $1.9 million to $1.8 million between Oct. 1 and Nov. 18.
Coakley is the frontrunner in the race to replace Ted Kennedy in the Senate, and she has already raised a total of more than $4 million for the race.
The pre-primary numbers, which were released by their campaigns Thursday, also show Coakley with a $1.9 million to $1.1 million advantage in cash on hand.
Boston Celtics co-owner Steve Pagliuca, who has self-funded extensively, has not released his numbers yet, and neither has City Year co-founder Alan Khazei. The deadline is next week.
The four candidates will meet in a primary Dec. 8, with the general election set for Jan. 19.
GOP frontrunner and state Sen. Scott Brown raised $290,000 for the period and banked $220,000.
