Obama heads to GW for college hoops game
President Barack Obama headed with the first family on Saturday to take in a college basketball game on the campus of the George Washington University.
Obama and family made the trip a few blocks west to GW for the 2 p.m. game, where the home team colonials will face off against the Oregon State Beavers, who are coached by the president's brother-in-law, Craig Robinson.
The First Lady, daughters Sasha and Malia, and First Grandmother Marian Robinson are all in attendance for the game, according to pool reports. The first family nabbed courtside seats at the half-full arena.
The Beavers are 1-3 on the season, while the Colonials have started off 4-0.
The president has long been an avid fan of basketball, playing pickup games occasionally, and having taken in a Washington Wizards game earlier this year. Obama also released a statement this past week noting the passing of Wizards owner Abe Pollan.
