Boehner endorses Obama's Afghanistan strategy

House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) came out in support of President Obama's strategy to infuse 30,000 troops into Afghanistan.

The top-ranking House Republican told reporters that he informed the president of his endorsement at a meeting held at the White House on Wednesday.

Boehner revealed his support at a press conference Thursdaym where he explained that he came to the decision after talking directly to Gen. Stanley McChrystal, the U.S. commander in Afghanistan.
